January 31, 2011 10:03 PM by Gene

Psalm 139:23-24 - Search me, God, and know my heart; test me and know my anxious thoughts.  See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.

Pray that God will search our hearts and reveal any sin that might hinder us from complementing Christ today.

Tues AM Prayer: Mercy and Wisdom

January 31, 2011 8:35 PM by Ivy

Lord you are our rock of safety. Please help our families, don't refuse to answer us for if you are silent we might as well give up. Grant us mercy and wisdom within our homes so that we may continue to grow to be living stones that are holy bringing you honor and glory. Protect us from the evil one, turn back on darkness the punishment they deserve. Tear their plots down like old buildings never to be rebuilt. We praise you for you have heard our cry for mercy and wisdom. You are our strength and our shield from every danger. Help us to continue to trust in you with all of our heart. Amen!

Sunday AM The Perserverence of Ruth

January 29, 2011 10:57 PM by BJ

Ruth 4:14 "Blessed is the Lord who has not left you without a redeemer today, and may his name become famous in Israel. May he also be to you a restorer of life and a sustainer of your old age..."

You alone, Lord Almighty, are the famous One. Your name is a high tower in whom all those seeking, find safety. You are the Redeemer and sustainer of all life. Those who run to you are refreshed and flourish, even in their old age.

Saturday AM Focus: Prodigals

January 28, 2011 10:33 PM by Ivy

We praise you Lord for leaving us this promise... I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name!

Just as Jairus came and fell down before you because he was in desperation for his daughter we too ask in desperation for your help. Our request is for our prodigals to be brought to their senses, and to acknowledge their sin against you. Help us to be watching and willing to meet them with open arms as we see them coming back home to you. Grant us a spirit that will not faint in asking for them but a spirit that gives you no rest for our prodigals. Bless you, our merciful Lord and loving Father! Amen!

Friday Prayer for Israel - 8:30 AM - Seeing

January 27, 2011 10:42 PM by Roger

St. John said, "No man has seen God at any time..." Jn.1:18.  It hardly seems fair.  We are judged for not being able to see what cannot be seen.  God is Spirit - Immortal, Invisible.  We use this as an excuse.  Yet man is without excuse before God, Who revealed Himself through His creation.  And more perfectly in Yeshua, the "expressed image of the invisible God."

No man has seen God at any time, apart from Yeshua. "...The only begotten God, Who is in the bosom of the Father, He has explained Him."   Jesus, uniquely begotten, unlike any other man before Him, full of grace and truth, IS IN the bosom of the Father.  He comes to us from the heart of God.  Why"  To explain Him.   What is God like?  I cannot see Him.  God is explained to us in Yeshua.  He told Philip, "He who has seen Me has seen the Father"

Father, I ask that many today in Israel would look upon Him whom they pierced, and seeing The only begotten God, they would see and understand Your heart, the heart of God their Father for them.  Grant them eyes to see the glory of Christ their Savior.  In Jesus Name.  Amen.

Friday AM Prayer Focus: Living the Word

January 27, 2011 10:36 PM by DanJ

As you come to him, the living Stone—rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him— you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.  1 Peter 2:4-5

Holy God we your church want to be built into a spiritual house that is holy and able to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God.  Teach us Your ways dear Lord.  The ways of this world are not Your ways.  Your ways are pure and right and holy and peaceful.  Your ways are filled with righteousness.  Your church needs to seek Your ways of living, so that we will display Your truth.  Help us to be seen as living stones, living monuments to a world that is so needy of a good example.

Thursday 7 pm prayer focus: The Word

January 27, 2011 10:02 AM by Vicki

John 6:63 " The words I speak to you are spirit, and they are life"

Jesus as you impressed the prominence and power of your words to your disciples they had to chose to follow you and they responded a few verses in John later "where else would we go or to whom?  You have the words of eternal life"

We ask that your word would take its rightful place in the thoughts and hearts of men in this valley.  With the saints of old we ask that you'd "give us this day our daily bread".  We need you Lord, your people need you.  You've blessed us with your word and with Pastors, teachers and evangelists that speak it.  Would you grant increasing revelation this year across this land of the necessity of reading, hearing and obeying your word.  There is no place else to go.

Thursday AM Focus - Strengthen Marriages - Save Marriages.

January 26, 2011 10:04 PM by Roger

1 Cor. 7:33f. says, "but one who is married is concerned about the things of the world, how he may please his wife, and his interests are divided."

The number one threat to marriage is ... selfishness.  Marriage stress takes on many names and labels, but it all boils down to: "I want what I want".   There is part of me that would like to "do great things" (supposedly for God).  That would be okay if I were alone.  But I am not.  I am married.  So, whatever I do, I must do it with my wife, or within the context of her blessing.  Our connection has multiple points: we have a lifetime covenant, a shared vision and purpose, a mutual desire to see spiritual growth and fruit, and an unconditional, intentional love for each other.  I am not free to "do as I please"!   My relationship to my wife is as holy as prayer is.  We are not to neglect one another, except  to pray, and then only for a season.

Father, grant to your people a willingness, to lay aside what they want or think they need in deference to the needs of spouse and children.  Let us sacrifice our "selves" to love them just as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for her.  Grant to us a sensitivity to those who are part of our church fellowship who are estranged, or conflicted with a spouse, that we might "labor earnestly" for them in prayer (Col.4:12).  Grant those without Christ to come to Him Who reconciles all men unto Himself.  Let marriages in our towns be saved, by the changing of selfish hearts.

Wednesday AM Prayer Focus: Worship in Spirit and Truth

January 26, 2011 12:31 AM by Peter

John 4:23-25 (NIV, ©2010) 23 Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. 24 God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in the Spirit and in truth.”

Father, we desire to be true worshipers. Please show us anything in our spirit that is not true, so that we can turn from it and be completely full of truth. Holy Spirit, please teach us how to worship You from our spirit, not just our mind. May our hearts be pleasing in Your sight, O Lord. May our worship give You all the glory due Your name.
