Sunday AM Prayer Focus; I will fear not, You are with me oh Lord.

April 30, 2011 8:58 PM by BJ

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there. If I rise on the wings of the dawn, if I settle on the far side of the sea, even there your hand will guide me, your right hand will hold me fast. If I say, “Surely the darkness will hide me and the light become night around me,” even the darkness will not be dark to you; the night will shine like the day,for darkness is as light to you. Psalm 139:7-12

Heavenly Father I thank you that You hold fast to me. No matter where I go, You, oh Lord are a shield about me. Thank You for Your love and your mercy and your grace. Even should I stumble, not watching where I am going, You oh Lord, are there to help me up. Thank you.

Lord of all, we agree for all the families of MSI, that all goes well with them and that their body is as healthy as their sin's. Continue to grow them in faithfulness and living in the truth. Lord be a shield around them and the one to lift their heads high. Protect them so all who love your name may be filled with joy. Thank you for blessing these godly ones surrounding them with your shield of love! Show them your favor, grant approval in the work in the Dominican Republic and the Tri-Cities. Show them your approval and make their efforts successful for your glory and honor thank you! amen!

Silver Ring Thing Report!

April 29, 2011 7:45 AM by Peter

From: Lacey McDonald, @ Pregnancy Alternatives Sent: Thursday, April 28, 2011 11:56 AM

Thank you so much for praying for the Silver Ring Thing event! WOW, it was amazing and a HUGE success. We praise God for his faithfulness and power that was evident on Tuesday night. I asked many of the kids and parents that attended the event how it was… the response was overwhelming… IT WAS AMAZING. So, here are some of the statistics...

We presented an assembly at East Linn Christian School Tuesday morning (about 175 kids)

We presented to four health classes at Lebanon High School (about 130 kids)

At the event we conservatively believe that there were 850 people (about 650 kids and 200 parents)!!

There were 127 kids that made commitments to Christ.

There were hundreds of kids that bought purity rings and/or made a commitment to purity.

As you can see, God blessed this event. This is history making stuff and we are thanking God for every person that heard the truth. Thank you again for praying for us and this event. Please continue to pray for the clients that come to the Center. We have been very, very busy lately. Blessings, Debbie Tracy

Friday AM Prayer Focus: Spur Each Other On

April 28, 2011 10:57 PM by DanJ

Therefore, brothers and sisters, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body, and since we have a great priest over the house of God, let us draw near to God with a sincere heart and with the full assurance that faith brings, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.  Hebrews 10:19-25

In my prayer times at HOPC I continue to have a picture in my mind of our work in our prayers and faith and lives building a part of a wall to protect our area.  In this picture I see that each Christian in our area has a responsibility to build their part of the wall, much like the walls of Jerusalem in the days of Nehemiah.  Each person in front of their home or place of business needed to work on the wall.  There wasn’t enough time to work on someone else’s part of the wall because of the amount of work for each part of the wall was large.  If the wall isn’t built, we are all vulnerable to attack by the enemy.  Everyone has to do their own work, but we can encourage one another to do a good work.

Lord, we thank you for the work that you’ve put before each one of us to do.  Help us to inspire and encourage each other to do these good works.   Let us keep our minds and tongues away from criticism and complaint about other’s work.  Let us focus on our own work.  Inspire us to say the right things to encourage others who are around us.  In our encouragement, let us not miss a step in our own good works and the love that you want us to share with many.  Give us a heart and a mind and a peace that is stayed on you while we share our love with those inside and outside the body.

Friday Prayer for Israel - 8:30 AM - No limitation with God 1 Sam.14:6

April 28, 2011 10:34 PM by Roger

Egypt reported today that they plan to permanently open the Rafah border crossing into Gaza.  This could allow much greater freedom of terrorist groups to get Kornet missiles into Gaza to use against Israeli targets.   Hamas and other groups use civilian neighborhoods, even schools and hospitals as shields from which to fire these missiles at Israel.   Hamas knows that that IDF morality will restrain retaliation against them in these areas.

Jonathan, one of King Saul's sons went to pick a fight with the ancient inhabitants of Gaza and Israel became odious to the Philistines.1 Sam. 13:3-4.   The resulting war brought victory for a season and relief of the Philistine subjugation of Israel.  During this time, Jonathan confesses that "... the LORD is not restrained to save by many or by few."   At that time, God did bring a great turn of victory for Israel through just two men.

God has not changed.  He can work today through multitudes, or through the deliberate actions of a few.   Pray against the free access of weapons to terrorist groups in Gaza, in Jesus Name.    Pray that civilian populations in Gaza will see the wrongness, the stupidity, the cruelty of using civilians as shields for cowards,  that they will have a true understanding of who is actually evil in this strategy,  that they will become increasingly intolerant of these groups using them this way.   (The inhabitants of Gaza actually were fighting each other in confusion because of the LORD's help of Jonathan).   Pray that war between Israel and Egypt will be averted.

thurs PM prayer focus: mid-Willamette valley

April 28, 2011 3:26 PM by Ivy

We thank you for the Holy Spirit who gives life! We praise you for your glorious new covenant which make us right with you!
Arise Lord, and break up hardened hearts, lift the veil that covers their minds and help them to understand the truth. We desire all in our valley to believe in you Christ as their Savior. Cause your light to shine into their darkness. We ask that all in our valley be reconciled to you, do what is necessary for all to be made right through Christ.
Help us, your Bride, in this valley not look at our troubles, but to look forward to what is not yet seen. Fill us with your joy that last's forever! Refresh our hearts, and renew our aim to please you always. Increase our fear of you so that we continue to work hard to persuade others. May your love control and keep us from pleasing self, but rather to please others so they will be attracted to you as Savior.

Thursday AM Focus - Who hath believed our report? Isaiah 53:1

April 27, 2011 10:16 PM by Roger

Jesus said it plainly,  "Therefore I say to you, all things for which your pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and they shall be granted you."  Mark 11:24   We don't have to convince God.  We need to work on our own credibility.  We ask God for "things" but sometimes, we ourselves don't believe it will happen.  When those times come, we are not asking in faith, we are merely expressing our wishful thinking.  Why does that happen?  I think maybe its because we are not as careful with our words throughout the day.   Our words have power.  But we can say things that we really don't believe ourselves.  We can say, "I'm just dying to go to that concert!"  That's not what we really mean.  We don't believe we are dying.  We mean that we truly want to go to that concert, even earnestly, but that's not what we say.  So we speak what we really don't believe.   And subtly, we teach ourselves to doubt our own words.

We can have what we ask for.  But we have to ask believing that we have recieved what we ask for.  If our own words are not believeable, then we shall not succeed.   First, we need to learn to speak truth all day long, not just when we pray.

Tues AM Prayer Focus: Stand Firm

April 25, 2011 8:48 PM by Ivy

Lord we recount your righteous victories, and those of Israel. Give us strength to stand up and fight against the rulers, authorities, powers and spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Remind us and help us to use your mighty weapons to knock down the Devil's strongholds and to break every proud argument that keeps people from knowing you. Awaken us, your Bride, in this valley to stand, to stand firm in truth waging war with your word. Call forth your angels to assist us in the battle. Help your Bride to rise like the sun in full strength, not being afraid. We praise you who goes ahead of us in the battle amen!

Sunday AM Prayer Focus: To Him Be The Glory Forever And Ever And Ever - Amen

April 24, 2011 12:13 AM by BJ

Romans 11:25-36 For I do not want you, brethren, to be uninformed of this mystery--so that you will not be wise in your own estimation--that a partial hardening has happened to Israel until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in; and so all Israel will be saved; just as it is written,"THE DELIVERER WILL COME FROM ZION,HE WILL REMOVE UNGODLINESS FROM JACOB." "THIS IS MY COVENANT WITH THEM, WHEN I TAKE AWAY THEIR SINS." From the standpoint of the gospel they are enemies for your sake, but from the standpoint of God's choice they are beloved for the sake of the fathers; for the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable. For just as you once were disobedient to God, but now have been shown mercy because of their disobedience, so these also now have been disobedient, that because of the mercy shown to you they also may now be shown mercy. For God has shut up all in disobedience so that He may show mercy to all. Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and unfathomable His ways! For WHO HAS KNOWN THE MIND OF THE LORD, OR WHO BECAME HIS COUNSELOR? Or WHO HAS FIRST GIVEN TO HIM THAT IT MIGHT BE PAID BACK TO HIM AGAIN? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things To Him be the glory forever. Amen.

Thank you Abba, for your ways are so much higher than mans. To YOU be the glory, always and forever more. Your Mercy demonstrated for all the nations, peoples and tribes. Glory be to you. Thank you. I cannot stop praising You. You are Perfect, Wonderful, and altogether lovely. You are the Hope of the World. I love you Jesus. Thank you for your demonstration of love on the cross, thank you for your just sacrafice that the grave and hell could not hold you. You have risen, risen in deed. Amen.
