Sat AM Prayer Focus: Compassion and Shaking

July 29, 2011 6:18 PM by Ivy

Great is your compassion; for you are good to all and have compassion on all you have made. Praise you!

Arise Lord, and march out like a mighty man. Like a warrior stir up your zeal; with a shout raise the battle cry and triumph over our enemies. Once again shake the earthly things that hold back your Bride in the mid-Willamette valley from willingness and obedience. Remove the things which can be shaken around and within us that hinder and entangle in order that the things that cannot be shaken may remain for your glory. Stir us up with your zeal and make us zealous for the things you are zealous for while filling us with compassion amen! Praise you!

Friday AM Prayer Focus: Fullness of God

July 28, 2011 11:10 PM by DanJ

For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, from whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with might through His Spirit in the inner man, that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height— to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Eph. 3:14-19

Lord we bow before You asking that You would continue to strengthen Your church through Your Holy Spirit.  Jesus dwell in our hearts, through our words, through our actions, through our thoughts, through our motives.  Let us be people who live out a life of love.  Help us to have a glimpse of the depths of Your love so we will know how to live.

Friday 8:30 AM Prayer for Israel - For the Church in Israel

July 28, 2011 10:44 PM by Roger

1 Peter 2:2,  "like newborn babes, long for the pure milk of the word, tht by it you may grow in respect to salvation."

In the early church Jews pressured Christians to keep the Laws of Moses and to see themselves as Jewish Christians.   Isn't that a bit like today's "Messianic Jews"?   Galatians explains that those who are of faith are sons of Abraham.   That those who are of faith are blessed with Abraham, the believer.  And that the Law was a tutor to lead us to Christ, that we may be justified by faith.   "For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.  For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.  There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free man, there is neither male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.  And if you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's offspring, heirs according to promise."  Gal.3:26-29.

Eph. 2:15, "By abolishing in His flesh the enmity, the Law of commandments in ordinances, that in Himself He might make the two (Jew and Gentile) into one new man, establishing peace."   2 Cor. 5:16-17, "Therefore, from now on, we recognize no man according to the flesh, ...  Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away, behold, new things have come."

Pray for the church in Israel, that she find her identity in Christ,  as an entirely "new creation" in Christ.  Pray that the church would live as New Covenant Saints and not try to mix and match the old and the new.

Thursday 7:00 P.M. Prayer Focus: Kingdom Rule

July 28, 2011 9:08 AM by Vicki

Ps 103:19 " The Lord has established His throne in heaven, And His Kingdom rules over all."

Thank you Lord that no matter how things appear in the natural, You indeed are King, ruler and Sovereign over all your creation.  Today as we come to your throne of Grace would you show us how you intend for us to be more than conquerers as we decree your dominion and power over this valley.

Thursday AM prayer focus - For ears to hear what the Spirit is saying

July 27, 2011 11:19 PM by Roger

Jesus said, "I have many more things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now.  But when He, the Spirit of truth comes, He will guide you unto all the truth, for He will not speak on His own initiative, but whatever He hears, He will speak; and He will disclose to you what is to come.  He shall glorify Me for He shall take of Mine, and disclose it to you.  All things that the Father has are Mine; therefore I said, that He take of Mine, and will disclose it to you."   John 16:12-15.   Dear Father, we would be taught by Your Holy Spirit according to the words of Jesus, our Savior, Your Son.

Tuesday AM Prayer Focus - Harvest

July 26, 2011 7:52 AM by Peter

John 4:34-36

34 “My food,” said Jesus, “is to do the will of him who sent me and to finish his work. 35 Don’t you have a saying, ‘It’s still four months until harvest’? I tell you, open your eyes and look at the fields! They are ripe for harvest. 36 Even now the one who reaps draws a wage and harvests a crop for eternal life, so that the sower and the reaper may be glad together.

Father, we call out to You to help us be faithful workers in the fields now. We also lift up the outreach planned in Albany for August 27th with help from other communities from Portland to Medford. Grant hundreds of salvations and effective follow up. Bring together the worshipers who will worship You in spirit and in truth. Let us be glad as we see You bring in a mighty harvest!

Tuesday AM Prayer Focus: Glorious

July 26, 2011 7:50 AM by DanJ

Shout for joy to God, all the earth!

Sing the glory of his name
   make his praise glorious.
Say to God, “How awesome are your deeds!
   So great is your power
that your enemies cringe before you.
All the earth bows down to you;
   they sing praise to you,
they sing the praises of your name.”  Psalm 66:1-4

We praise you this morning Lord for the beauty of Your presence in our lives.  Your creation declares Your glory and majesty.  The sunrise this morning and the crescent of the moon demonstrates a tiny portion of the wonder of Your creation.  Thank You for being here with us and around us as we pray.

Sat AM Prayer Focus: vision for the church of the mid[-Willamette valley

July 23, 2011 6:46 AM by Ivy

We glory in your knowledge and understanding that has set the foundations of the earth! You say that your people are destroyed by lack of knowledge and understanding, that without vision we perish. Lord we see the darkness in our valley where people are unable to find compassion and favor from above. Our cities are being destroyed from within the family. Remove the blinders on the Bride's eyes from lack of cohesive vision. Open our eyes and ears to know your appointed seasons and to regard and obey your ways. Help us to listen to what your Spirit is saying and to recognize the times. Grant us ears to hear and eyes to see what you are doing with a heart of willingness and obedience. Help us in this great time of need from unwillingness and unbelief to hear and obey what your Spirit is saying thank you! Amen!
