Thursday AM Prayer Focus - For those who came to Christ Sat.

August 31, 2011 10:10 PM by Roger

2 Cor. 1:21-22,  "Now He who establishes us with you in Christ, and anointed us is God, who also sealed us and gave us the Spirit in our hearts as a pledge."

"Father, our Lord Jesus Christ confessed to you at the end of His life, that of all those You gave to Him, He had not lost any.   On Saturday, You entrusted to us the soul's of men to encourage and disciple.  Would you grant us the on going privilege of forming friendships with them?   And would you grant to us the ability to confess that same declaration that our Lord made.   Let none that came to Christ on Saturday in Albany, be lost or abandoned."

Luke 17: 15, 16 " Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back glorifying God with a loud voice,  and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him"

LOrd, we want to fall at your feet like the leper healed in the book of Luke and say Thank you.  Thank you for saving so many Saturday from an eternity lost.  Thank you for bringing many to Albany to join us in reaching the lost.  Thank you for opening ears to hear the word of the Lord.  Thank you for showing up as your word was preached with signs and wonders.  Thank you for healings and deliverances.  We are grateful Lord.  WE love you,

amen

Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: Stand in the Gap

August 31, 2011 7:22 AM by Peter

Ezekiel 22:30

(NIV)

30 “I looked for someone among them who would build up the wall and stand before me in the gap on behalf of the land so I would not have to destroy it, but I found no one.

Isaiah 35:3-4a

(NIV)

3 Strengthen the feeble hands, steady the knees that give way;
4 say to those with fearful hearts, “Be strong, do not fear; your God will come,

Father, we admit that there is a great gap between Your desire for us compared with the condition of the Church and our communities in Oregon. We pray for Your Church to be strengthened in every way so that You will come and pour out grace and mercy upon us.

Wednesday 7:30 a.m. prayer focus: Mike Silva International

August 30, 2011 10:21 PM by Vicki

Deut. 6:6,7 "And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart.  You shall teach them diligently to your children and shall talk of them ........"

Ps 78:5 " For he established a testimony in Jacob, and appointed a law in Israel which he commanded our fathers that they should make them known to their children:  that the genertation to come might know them"

Father thank you that you have given Mike and his co workers a love for your word,  thank you that you also gave them a heart to impart your wisdom not only to their children but to "your children of all ages".  Would you expand their borders and give them favor as they share your word?  Would you especially open doors for them to speak truth into the lives of the youth that are lost?

thank you.

amen

The Valley of Vision

August 30, 2011 7:45 AM by Gene

The Valley of Vision

Lord, high and holy, meek and lowly, Thou hast brought me to the valley of vision, where I live in the depths but see Thee in the heights; hemmed in by mountains of sin I behold Thy glory. Let me learn by paradox that the way down is the way up, that to be low is to be high, that the broken heart is the healed heart, that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit, that the repenting soul is the victorious soul, that to have nothing is to possess all, that to bear the cross is to wear the crown, that to give is to receive, that the valley is the place of vision. Lord, in the daytime stars can be seen from deepest wells, and the deeper the wells the brighter Thy stars shine; let me find Thy light in my darkness, Thy life in my death, Thy joy in my sorrow, Thy grace in my sin, Thy riches in my poverty, Thy glory in my valley.

Psalm 133 (NIV)

A song of ascents. Of David.

1 How good and pleasant it is
when God’s people live together in unity!

2 It is like precious oil poured on the head,
   running down on the beard,
running down on Aaron’s beard,
down on the collar of his robe.
3 It is as if the dew of Hermon
   were falling on Mount Zion.
For there the LORD bestows his blessing,
   even life forevermore.

Lord, thank You for giving us Your vision for our valley, for uniting us together in one accord, and working among us to accomplish Your purposes. Grant us willing hearts to obey the vision that You give.

Saturday NW Great Awakening & Soul Winning Praise Report!

August 28, 2011 7:36 AM by Peter

“Red Letter” Day for Albany and Oregon

Hundreds of believers from over 20 churches from Portland to Medford (even people from WA, CA, and IN) combined efforts to go out and share Jesus in Albany on 8/27. We had 173 who went out to talk to over 1500 people and prayed with 382 to trust their life to Christ! While teams were out in the community, 110 intercessors and worshipers were gathered together at the host church to intercede through praise and petitions. In addition to the ones who accepted Christ, hundreds were prayed with for all kinds of needs - people were filled with the Holy Spirit, healed, delivered, and helped by the Lord in many ways. Even for the few who declined to talk, seeds were planted. All glory to God!

Friday AM Prayer Focus: Endurance

August 26, 2011 4:51 AM by DanJ

Romans 15:4
For everything that was written in the past was written to teach us, so that through the endurance taught in the Scriptures and the encouragement they provide we might have hope.

Dear Lord today we ask that scripture would be revealed to us.  That our lives would be effected by what we as Christians learn from Your Word.  That belief would be demonstrated by our lifestyle, actions, deeds, thoughts, words and the way we spend our time.  Help us to endure when times are tough.  Help us to rejoice when times are favorable.  We thank You for all that You've given us and all that You are teaching us as we proceed in faith in our lives.

Friday 8:30 AM Prayer Focus for Israel - For hearts to turn to God

August 25, 2011 9:35 PM by Roger

A wall along the southwestern border of Israel is being built to stop infiltration and smuggling.   45 km of the 240 km border has been finished with 700 meters being built daily.   It was scheduled to be finished by the end of 2013, but 6 construction companies have been added to the building force to finish it by the end of 2012.  The earnestness comes from the belief that this wall will protect Israel from attacks.

An ad in the Jerusalem Post asks the question, "Do people have to believe in God to be Jewish?"  And the answer given is No!  You can embrace and celebrate Israel's history and culture without believing in God.  Opening the webpage from this advertisement takes you to the "Humanistic Judaism" site that tells you how to have a humanistic understanding and celebration of Israel's historic holidays.

After he and the leaders of Israel gave generously for the building of Solomon's temple, King David prayed, "O Lord, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, our fathers, preserve this FOREVER in the intentions of the heart of Thy people, and direct their heart to Thee."   1 Chron. 29:18

Thursday AM Prayer Focus - Keys to the Kingdom

August 24, 2011 9:17 PM by Roger

Mt.16:19,  "I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you shall bind on earth, shall have been bound in heaven, and whatever you shall loose on earth shall have been loosed in heaven."

John 20:23, "If you forgive the sins of any, their sins have been forgiven them;  if you retain the sins of any, they have been retained."

Prov. 18:21, "Death and life are in the power of the tongue ... "

"Father, we pray for the evangelists intentionally seeking those who are lost without Christ, to bring words of life to them, and the ministry of reconciliation.  Grant them boldness, discernment, and much fruit.  We especially pray for those who will be trained on Saturday AM at Jesus Pursuit Church as they go out into our city to witness."

Thursday P.M. Prayer Focus: Abiding

August 24, 2011 10:36 AM by Vicki

The LOrd said in John 15:7 If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you."

Father would you help us to learn how to abide in you. Please give us a desire to know your words and obey them.  Please ignite our hearts so that our prayer life will reflect your will.  We want to know you more.  Would you prune all that is a distraction from that goal from us your church?  thank you,

amen
