Thursday AM Prayer Focus - The Attitude of Christ

November 30, 2011 10:20 by Roger

Philippians 2:3-7,  "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but with humility of mind let each of you regard one another as more important than himself;  do not merely look out for your own personal interests, but also for the interests of others.  Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus who ... emptied Himself ..."

Father, please grant us grace to highly regard one another, both in the church and in our community.  Help us by Your grace to be patient, kind, and generous as we drive through on our streets and shop in our stores.  Grant to us the willingness to consider our brother and our neighbor with that same value that You regard them with,  and feel that same compassion You demonstrated toward us.   We ask that those around us, even those closest to us, would see Christlikeness in our attitude and would be drawn to You through us.   In Jesus name.

Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: Our Calling

November 30, 2011 7:02 by Peter

2 Peter 1:  His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness. Through these he has given us his very great and precious promises, so that through them you may participate in the divine nature, having escaped the corruption in the world caused by evil desires.

Father, grant that we may live out our calling in Christ day by day. May Your Church be a living testimony of who You are and not have the same characteristics as those in the world. Set us free from evil desires that we might live for You, bring glory to Your name, and draw others to know You. Thank You for all Your promises and the power You have to fulfill them!

Wednesday 7:30 a.m. prayer focus: Mike Silva International

November 29, 2011 9:25 by Vicki

Ps 103: 1-4 "Bless the Lord, O my soul: and all that is within me, bless His holy name! Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Who forgives all your iniquities. Who heals all your diseases. Who redeems your life from destruction . Who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies."

Lord we thank you that there's not one disease that escapes your healing power. We lift up Crystal Silva to you today and ask that you would flood her body with your healing balm. That you would minister comfort and peace to her and the Silva family. That you would protect her from evil and that your presence would surround her. We stand in the gap for her as your ambassadors and command the tumor in her thyroid to leave her body safely and without distress. Bless her Lord and may she know and experience your loving kindness and tender mercies toward her.

thank you,

amen.

Tuesday AM Prayer Focus: Sin Dishonors God

November 22, 2011 7:31 by Gene

But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. With it we bless our God and Father, and with it we curse men, who have been made in the similitude of God. Out of the same mouth proceed blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not to be so. James 3:8-10

Lord we ask that our lives would reflect Your life, not the life of the failure to control our tongues. Not this failure of sin. Give us Your love and truth instead.  Let it replace our mistakes, our short-comings and our failures.  We praise You for the opportunity to start out the day in an attitude of blessing.  You know precisely every second of our lives.  You have it all in control.  If I am not blessing, I am dishonoring You. Let me chose to rejoice in this day, all the day long and be glad in it!

Monday AM Prayer Focus: God wants people to come to repentance

November 21, 2011 7:30 by Diane

The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some count slackness, but is longsuffering toward us, not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance. II Peter 3:9

Dear God, Thank you that you are longsuffering and patient. Please make us, who love and serve you, open to share your message of salvation with those who need to come to repentance. Increase your Spirit within us, so we too will wait and lovingly keep sharing, even when those around us are slow to respond. Amen.

Sat AM Prayer Focus: Salvation in Brazil

November 18, 2011 6:40 by Ivy

We look to you, Lord of creation who has made a way to be reconciled back to the Father! Make a way for your word to spread widely and to grow in power in Brazil today through the preaching of Mike Silva your servant. We boast in your Good News which is your power at work; save everyone who hears today, give them faith to believe how you can make them right in your sight. Impart faith to believe so that they become  righteous people who have life! Amen!
