Dezember 30, 2011 6:02 by Diane

The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in Him and I am helped; therefore my heart greatly rejoices, and with my song I will praise Him. Psalm 28:7

Dear Lord, Thank you for being our shield and strength. You give us courage and protection to face life's uncertainties and difficulties. Help us to trust You with ever increasing faith. We rejoice and lift songs of praise to You for your blessings and help in our lives. Amen

Friday AM Prayer Focus: Light and Darkness

Dezember 29, 2011 10:42 by DanJ

If anyone walks in the day, he does not stumble, because he sees the light of this world.  But if one walks in the night, he stumbles, because the light is not in him.  John 11:9-10

Lord without You in are lives the world is a dark place where all mankind stumbles.  We pray that our lives will be the light by which the world can see so as not to fall.  Help us to share this light with many who are currently in the darkness.  Let us be willing to share our testimonies and our heart for You with others.  Help us to lead this world to a supply of endless light, living water and the knowledge of You that will never fail them.

Thursday AM Prayer Focus - Hungering and Thirsting for Righteousness

Dezember 28, 2011 10:22 by Roger

Jesus said, "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied."  Mt.5:6

Father, people hunger for many things that promise satisfaction.  Natural men act according to their natures.  You have revealed to us the path to satisfaction. Please grant mercy and grace to us and to our neighbors this weekend.  Keep those who make bad decisions from ruining their future.   When the worldly pursuit of satisfaction leaves people disappointed, give us a gentle caring testimony pointing them to Jesus.

Monday AM Prayer Focus: Run the race

Dezember 25, 2011 8:49 by Diane

Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, Hebrews 12:1

Dear Lord, Thank you that we can draw close to you through the sacrifice and blood of your Son, Jesus. Guide and bless us as we live the life you have given us. Help us recognize diversions that would take us off course. Lord, when our lives are over we want to hear you say, "Well done good and faithful servant." Amen

Saturday AM Prayer Focus: Jesus is born to us

Dezember 23, 2011 10:48 by Diane

For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; And the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Dear God, Thank you for sending your son Jesus to be with us. We stand with believers down through the centuries who welcomed Him into their hearts. Fill us with awe and reverence this holy season as we join with the angels who proclaimed: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men!" Amen.

Friday AM Prayer Focus: Refresh Us O Lord

Dezember 22, 2011 9:55 by DanJ

Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”                                                                                                                John 4:13-14

Dear Lord, we are blessed by your gift of everlasting life, the presence of Your Holy Spirit, the counselor and the comforter.  We ask You God to assist us in our efforts to hear You.  We pray that we who follow You in our Willamette valley would be drawn into a deeper relationship with You.  Give us vision for what is ahead and understanding of the road You would want us to travel down.  Make us ready for the journey.  And give us rest when our hearts need rest and refreshing.

Thursday AM Prayer Focus - Do Not Be Afraid

Dezember 21, 2011 11:21 by Roger

Revelation 1:17f,  Jesus laid His right hand upon John saying, "Do not be afraid;  I am the first and the last, and the living One; and I was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of death and of Hades."

"LORD, thank You for the incarnation.  But thank You more that You are not baby Jesus today!   Thank You Lord for emptying Yourself to become one of us, for Your lowlyness, for Your poverty.   But thank You more for Your victory, Your exaltation, Your triumph over Satan and death!    We praise You and boast in You!   Grant to us a Holy Ghost boldness to present You "as You are" today to a world that needs a Savior."

Monday AM Prayer Focus: The Lord renews our strength

Dezember 18, 2011 5:51 by Diane

But those who wait on the Lord shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.

Dear God, Thank you that we are not dependent on our own strength. You renew our strength like eagles. Help us to come to you when our burdens and everyday tasks seem to be more than we can manage. You know us better than we know ourselves. Bless us as we seek to live our lives for you. Amen.
