Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: Leap for Joy

February 29, 2012 7:56 AM by Peter

Luke 6:23

"Rejoice in that day [when persecuted because of the Son of Man] and leap for joy, because great is your reward in heaven. For that is how their ancestors treated the prophets."

Father, thank You that our joy is dependent on relationship with You, and not on our circumstances. Today as the world recognizes "Leap Day" we set our hearts on You and leap for joy because of our great reward in heaven! Lord, we leap for joy that You have earned that reward for us; we leap for joy that nothing can separate us from You; we leap for joy that You are near to those who call on You.

o Ps.51:12,13 " Restore to me the joy of my salvation and uphold me by your generous spirit then I will teach transgressors your ways and sinners will be converted to you. ' Father this morning we ask that you would baptize a fresh Mike and his team with the joy of being newly converted. That you would protect them and anoint them with an unquenchable zeal for souls and then open doors for them to preach the good news with signs and wonders following. Bless them Lord and shore up any weak areas in their ministry for your namesake. thank you, amen

Tuesday AM Prayer Focus: Whoever Loses his life for My Sake

February 27, 2012 9:13 PM by Diane

Then Jesus said to His disciples, "If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself and take up his cross, and follow Me. For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for My sake will find it. Matthew 16:24-25

Dear Jesus, let us be willing to follow You anywhere, anytime, under any circumstances. We want to find our life only in You. Teach us each day what this means and open our hearts to continually seek you. Thank you that through Your sacrifice we have abundant life. Amen.

Monday AM Prayer Focus: The Great Commission

February 26, 2012 10:16 PM by Diane

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, "All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age." Matthew 28:19-20

Dear Jesus, Hallelujah that you have all authority in heaven and on earth!Thank you that you are so clear in Your direction to us. You instruct to us to; "Go and make disciples of all nations." Thank you that you give us a promise with your direction. You promise to be with us each moment of our day until the end of the age. Increase our sensativity to the leading of the Holy Spirit so we will be ready to follow Your direction through out our day. Amen.

Saturday AM Prayer Focus: Stay Awake

February 25, 2012 12:18 PM by Karen

"Jesus said, Therefore stay awake...for you do not know when the master of the house will come, in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or in the morning--lest he come suddenly and find you asleep."  Mark 13:35-36

The world is in turmoil yet we are called to be faithful.  In 1789 during a meeting with the House of Representatives a frightening darkness and storm descended in the sky.  Some thought the day of judgement was coming.  With fears increasing a motion was made for immediate adjournment. Before the motion was taken a Colonel Davenport took the floor.  He said,  "The day of judgment is either approaching or it is not.  If it is not, there in no cause for adjournment.  If it is, I choose to have the Lord find me doing me duty.  Therefore, I wish that candles be brought."

Help us to work while it is day and be the candles leading the way.

Tuesday AM Prayer Focus: Escaping Temptation

February 20, 2012 10:42 PM by Diane

No temptation has overtaken you except such as is common to man; but God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with the temptation will also make the way of escape, that you may be able to bear it. I Corinthians 10:13

Dear Heavenly Father, Thank you that you will not allow us to be tempted more than we can bear. During our temptation help to always look to You and watch for Your way of escape. Keep us from jumping into our own way out. Help us learn and grow in each of our life situations. When times are tough, let us cling to You and Your faithfulness. Amen
