June 29, 2012 12:07 AM by DanJ

...your Father knows what you need before you ask Him.  Matt. 6:8b

Lord, we praise you first this day.  We know our praise is most pleasant to You.  We praise You and honor You today with not only our voice and our song, but our heart and purpose and decisions for this day.  We want to do Your will this day and worship You through all that we accomplish.  Help us to be loving, kind, thoughtful, patient and consciencious of You in all our activity.  We love You Lord.

Thursday 630 AM Prayer Focus - Making disciples

June 27, 2012 9:54 PM by Roger

Jesus commanded us all to make disciples.   To be a disciple, one must first be born again, then be willing to be taught and to do all that Christ commanded.

"Father, I would be a discipler.  Grant to me opportunities to share my confidence in You with others in Albany.  Then grant that I might bring men and women to be saved by faith in Jesus Christ.  I ask for those who get saved to hunger in their souls to know You.  Grant me Your favor in this, and give me favor before men, that they may want to be in a discipleship relationship."

June 26, 2012 11:06 PM by Vicki

2 Cor. 3:18 " So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image."

What a marvelous work you are up to oh Lord to work with us and for us that we might be more like you. Thank you for your patience, your faithfulness, your love and your plans that will not be missed as we say "Yes" to you each day. Would you shine your face upon Mike and team as they submit to you today?

Monday AM Prayer Focus: God is in Control

June 24, 2012 10:59 PM by Diane

Indeed, before the day was, I am He; And there is no one who can deliver out of My hand; I work, and who will reverse it? Isaiah 43:13.

Dear Lord, Thank you that You know all things and no one can take us away from Your hand. When You put Your works into motion nothing can stop it. You have ultimate understanding and an eternal perspective. We love you and stand in awe of Your goodness, love, and majesty. Amen.

Saturday AM Prayer Focus: Lord Build Our House

June 23, 2012 12:53 AM by Diane

Unless the Lord builds the house, they labor in vain who build it; Unless the Lord guards the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. Psalm 127:1.

Dear Lord, We realize that You must be the center of all that we do or we cannot succeed. Help us to keep our priorities focused on You. Thank you that You give us your Word to keep our paths straight. We give you all our praise and thanksgiving for the guidance, direction, and safety You give us. Amen.

Friday AM Prayer Topic: Bless the Lord

June 22, 2012 6:49 AM by DanJ

Psalm 145:1-13

I will exalt you, my God the King; I will praise your name for ever and ever.  Every day I will praise you and extol your name for ever and ever.

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. One generation commends your works to another; they tell of your mighty acts. They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—and I will meditate on your wonderful works. They tell of the power of your awesome works— and I will proclaim your great deeds. They celebrate your abundant goodness and joyfully sing of your righteousness.

The Lord is gracious and compassionate, slow to anger and rich in love.

The Lord is good to all; he has compassion on all he has made. All your works praise you, Lord; your faithful people extol you. They tell of the glory of your kingdom and speak of your might, so that all people may know of your mighty acts and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.  Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and your dominion endures through all generations.

We praise You this morning for who You are.  We thank you for your loving kindness to us.  Even before we have awareness in the morning, You have already done uncountable things for us.  Your love for us is amazing and wonderful.  Help us, Your church, to remember Your love and remain true to You.  Help us to put You first and praise You dear Lord God.  Help us to pray like Your Son taught... Hallowed be Your Name, before we make any requests, before we have a concern about anything else.

Thursday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus - Overcoming trouble in the world. John 16:33

June 20, 2012 9:56 PM by Roger

Revelation 3:21,  "He who overcomes, I will grant to him to sit down with Me on My throne, as I also overcame and sat down with My Father on His throne."

Many come to Christ and to our churches and never overcome the troubles of life.  Their whole focus is always on their difficulties, conflicts, baggage from the past.   Pray for believers to overcome the trouble of the world,  to move beyond the struggles of the flesh, to rise up victorious in Christ over temptations, bondage, etc... living as a new creation with old things passing away.   We are to be seated with in the heavenlies, enthroned with Christ, here and now.

Wed. 7:30 AM Prayer Focus for Mike Silva International - Deeds of Vindication

June 19, 2012 10:39 PM by Roger

Bayron Lechuga, MSI Director of Festivals for Latin America wrote about the recent murder of his mother-in-law.   Psalm 103:6 states that "The Lord executes deeds of vindication..."    What better vindication of those who put their trust in Christ who conquored death, than the resurrection of the dead?   Jesus commanded us to proclaim the good news of the Kingdom, to heal the sick, cast out demons, cleanse the leper, and raise the dead.

"Father, in Jesus Name, we call for the raising of Bayron's mother-in-law from out of death here and now.  What man intended for shame and grief, bring vindication to Bayron and his wife Taty, AND bring glory to Your holy, powerful name.  In faith we command Taty's mom to RISE UP!  'You shall live and not die!"  The Father's commandment IS eternal life.  John 12:50.  So, RISE UP, Taty's mom.  Bless God."

Monday AM Prayer Focus: Praise the Lord

June 17, 2012 9:32 PM by Diane

Sing to God, sing in praise of His name, extol Him who rides on the clouds; rejoice before Him - His name is the Lord. A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows is God in His holy dwelling. Psalm 68:4-5.

Heavenly Father, We come before you singing praises and rejoicing in Your goodness. Thank you that You are a defender of the defenseless. You care about people who are in great need. You are aware of our circumstances and hear us when we cry out to You. Praise the Lord. Amen.

Friday AM Prayer Topic: Prayer for the Misguided

June 15, 2012 12:23 AM by DanJ

Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation.

                                                                                                                                 Romans 10:1

Today we pray to You dear Lord about those who are religious but have no understanding of salvation. We thank You Lord that salvation is a free gift, given to us by the sacrifice of Your Son Jesus. Too often we try to do things ourselves to earn it. Forgive us Lord.  Help us to see that it is all about You and not about us. Teach us a life of humilty and generousity. Let the treasures we seek through the simple truth be those of heaven and eternal reward.
