Thursday AM Prayer Focus - Multiplied Favor

Oktober 31, 2012 11:32 by Roger

St Peter tells us that "grace and peace (can) be multiplied to us".  2 Peter 1:2.   Perhaps a minimum multiplier would be: x's 2, that is, twice as much.   What if we had twice as much favor with God today?  What would life look like?

The Bible tells us that God "lavished upon us the riches of His grace" (favor). See Eph.1:7-8.  Twice as much, doesn't seem like a lavishing.  What if you and I had 10 times, or 50 times, or 100 times as much favor with God today.

God doesn't put a limit on His favor.   Only we do that.   Go ahead.  Ask for as much as you dare.

Monday AM Prayer Focus: Give Us Wisdon

Oktober 28, 2012 10:38 by Diane

If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him. James 1:5

Dear God, You have all wisdom and knowledge. You instruct us to ask You for wisdom. We ask trusting that You who know all things, and have all power, will give us the understanding we need to make wise decisions. In a world of uncertainty, we ask you to give us the understanding we need to guide our paths. Amen.

Friday AM Prayer Focus - Giving Thanks

Oktober 25, 2012 10:53 by DanJ

Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice, and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan. Then Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But the nine-where are they? Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?" And He said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has made you well."    Luke 17:15-19

Lord, help us to be like the man who was healed in this scripture, turning back and thanking you.  Forgive us for the times we have prayed and not even noticed Your answer.  Give us simple common sense to be appreciative of what You have done for us.  You have been a Father who cares for His children, a Son who demonstrates the finest example and the Spirit that councels and comforts us.  Thank you.

Wednesday a.m. prayer focus: Mike Silva International

Oktober 23, 2012 2:44 by Vicki

1 Cor. 14:40 "Let everything be done decently and in order"

Father would you loose all the help needed for the Festival in San Miguel to come together "decently and in order' by your Spirit? Would you illuminate any area that still needs attention? Would you cause your workers to humble themselves before you to hear what the Spirit is saying regarding their area of work? We bind the author of confusion from this event and loose the Kingdom of Heaven's order, beauty and the anointing that comes from your presence.

thank you

amen

Monday AM Prayer Focus: God Strengthen Our Families

Oktober 21, 2012 8:12 by Diane

Honor your father and your mother, as the Lord your God has commanded you, that your days may be long, and that it may be well with you in the land which the Lord your God is giving you. Deuteronomy 5:16.

Lord, we pray that you will strengthen our families. Help us to take Your word into our hearts and apply it to our lives. Whether we are parents, children, grandparents, aunts, or uncles, let us work together to be God pleasing families that serve You with our whole hearts. Amen.

Friday AM Prayer Topic: The Good Samaritan

Oktober 19, 2012 7:37 by DanJ

But a Samaritan, who was on a journey, came upon him; and when he saw him, he felt compassion, and came to him and bandaged up his wounds, pouring oil and wine on them; and he put him on his own beast, and brought him to an inn and took care of him. On the next day he took out two (The denarius was equivalent to a day's wages) denarii and gave them to the innkeeper and said, 'Take care of him; and whatever more you spend, when I return I will repay you.'Which of these three do you think proved to be a neighbor to the man who fell into the robbers' hands? "And he said, "The one who showed mercy toward him." Then Jesus said to him, "Go and do the same."  Luke 10:33-37

Dear Lord, help us to be those who care for others, who will go out of our way when we see great need.  Help us to do your work here on this earth as you have asked us to.  Let us not get caught up in our religion, but give us understanding to see what you have personally called us to.  Each day keep us aware of the needs around us.

Thursday AM Prayer Focus - For integrity in the political campaigns

Oktober 17, 2012 10:09 by Roger

Let's pray for political candidates to speak truth,  to not make rash or insincere promises,  to not overly focus on problems, but rather to provide real solutions if they can.

Let's pray for political candidates to live moral lives, to humbly admit to previous mistakes, faults, etc...  and to not malign their opponents.

Let's pray for a better way to pay for campaigns without spending extravagant amounts of money, especially special interest groups and large businesses.

Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: 40 Days of Prayer - Families

Oktober 17, 2012 7:56 by Peter

1 Corinthians 13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Father, please forgive us where we have fallen short of the love that You intend for us to walk in with our spouse and family. As we pray for our nation in these 40 days leading up to the election, grant that we would have Your love welling up in our families for healing, reconciliation, nurturing, and becoming more Christ-centered. Lord, help us to develop strong habits of prayer that will continue after the election. Please help us continue and even increase in our prayers after the election, that families in our nation would be strengthened and flourish.
