Tuesday Prayer: Heavenly Music

March 31, 2014 11:49 PM by Diane

The Lord your God in your midst, The Mighty One, will save: He will rejoice over you with gladness, He will quiet you with His love, He will rejoice over you with singing. Zephaniah 3:17.

Dear God, What an amazing picture of You this verse paints. First of all You save. As if that is not enough, You rejoice, You love, and You sing. What does Your singing sound like? We can hardly wait to hear it when we are beyond time. Lord, You are so wonderful. Help us never to forget that You are bigger than any problem we encounter. You surround us with Your love and goodness in ways we can hardly imagine. Thank you now and forever. Amen.

Monday Prayer: All for God's Glory

March 30, 2014 9:17 PM by Diane

Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. I Corinthians 10:31.

Dear God, Let us live each day for You. Help us to grow in our relationship with You so that each moment is infused with our love for You. Help us to make our lives reflect You and not ourselves. Lead us and guide us each day as we give You our all. Amen.

Saturday Prayer: Forgive

March 28, 2014 11:37 PM by Diane

Judge not, and you shall not be judged. Condemn not, and you shall not be condemned. Forgive, and you will be forgiven. Luke 6:37.

Dear God, We humans seem to have opinions and judgements regarding everything. We say this is good and that is bad. Knowing the difference between good and evil is part of the fallen nature we received in the garden of Eden after Adam and Eve disobeyed You. Thank you for making a way back to You. Thank you Jesus, for saving us from our sin and forgiving us. Through You, we can forgive others. Help us apply forgiveness each day to those situations that would have been met with anger and resentment. Jesus, we want to be more like You. Amen.

Friday Prayer: Magnified

March 27, 2014 10:29 PM by Dan

Let all who seek You rejoice and be glad in You; Let those who love Your salvation say continually, “The Lord be magnified!”     Psalm 40:16 and Psalm 70:4

I want to learn to rejoice in who You are, my redeemer, my friend. Even in my darkest days and weakest hours, I want to understand Your loving kindness never leaves me. Purify my heart God so I can see You magnified. Let me have great joy in my salvation, freedom from death, forgiveness of sins. Your work providing a future and a hope for me and my family.

BE MAGNIFIED  by Don Moen

I have made you too small, in my eyes
O Lord, forgive me
And I have believed in a lie
That you were unable to help me.
But now O Lord, I see my wrong
Heal my heart and show yourself strong
And in my eyes, and with my song
O Lord, be magnified
O Lord, be magnified.

Be magnified O lord,
You are highly exalted
And there is nothing you can't do
O Lord, my eyes are on you,be magnified,
O Lord be magnified, O Lord be magnified

I have leaned on the wisdom of men
O Lord, forgive me
And I have responded to them
Instead of you light and your mercy
But now, O Lord, I see my wrong
Heal My Heart and show yourself strong
And in my eyes and with my song
O Lord, be magnified
O Lord, be magnified.

Be magnified O lord,
You are highly exalted
And there is nothing you can't do
O Lord, my eyes are on you,be magnified,
O lord be magnified,O Lord be magnified
O Lord be magnified
O Lord be magnified
O Lord be magnified
O Lord be magnified

Tuesday Prayer: Our Shepherd

March 24, 2014 11:28 PM by Diane

The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still waters, He restores my soul; He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name's sake. Psalm 23:1-3.

Lord, Thank you for the words of the 23rd Psalm. The first part reminds us of all the wonderful good things You do to take care of us. You lead us, guide us, and provide all our needs. Most importantly you restore our souls and lead us in Your path of rightwousness. We can get overwhelmed and lost in life. However, You bring us back and restore us through Your tender mercies. Jesus, we want to follow You and stay with all the days of our lives. Amen.

Monday Prayer: Freedom

March 23, 2014 10:08 PM by Diane

"Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed." John 8:36.

Dear Jesus, Thank you for setting us free from our sin. We are so thankful for the salvation You give us when we accept You as Savior and Lord. We stand in amazement of what it is like to walk out from our prison cells into Your glorious light.  The things that keep us bound can be anything that we put ahead of You such as addictions, pride, greed or unforgiveness. Open our eyes and hearts to see those things that keep us captive to this world and then set us free to have a relationship with You that leads to a joy filled life serving You with our whole hearts. Amen.

Saturday Prayer: God's Will

March 21, 2014 11:13 PM by Diane

"Your will be done." Matthew 6:10

Dear God, Why is it scarey at times to pray, "Your will be done"? Could it be that we are clutching onto our own desires and not willing to give them up to accept Yours? Lord, You see the big picture, have all wisdom, and love us. Your will is by far the best and safest place to be at all times. Help us to trust You and love You enough to pray, "Yes, Your will be done." Amen.

Friday: Complete in Christ

March 21, 2014 5:49 AM by Dan

Beware lest anyone cheat you through philosophy and empty deceit, according to the tradition of men, according to the basic principles of the world, and not according to Christ. For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily; and you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power.  Colossians 2:8-10

Thank you Lord Jesus for coming to this earth. For demonstrating who the Father is through Your actions. Love and forgiveness, faithfulness and truth, mercy and justice. Many times I get the concepts of these things mixed up with the reality of who You are and who the Father is. Forgive me. Help us as a people look to You directly, not the philosophy of man, but to You who is the author of that philosophy. Let us learn directly from You. And let us know in our heart how to live out this wonderous life You have given us.

Tuesday Prayer: A Step of Faith

March 17, 2014 9:04 PM by Diane

But Jesus said to them, "They do not need to go away. You give them something to eat." And they said to Him, "We have here only five loaves and two fish." He said, "Bring them here to Me." Matthew 14: 16-17.

Dear Jesus, The disciples had compassion on the multitide. They saw that the crowd was hungry and there was not much food. They logically suggested to Jesus, to send the multitude away so food could be purchased from the surrounding area. We can only imagine their surprise when Jesus told them to feed the 5000 people. Lord, here is where the miracle happens! The disciples obeyed and started serving what they had. Soon all had been fed and there was even leftovers. Jesus, You have this way of taking our humble resources and turning them into more than enough. Give us courage to say yes when You ask us to meet a need that seems much bigger than anything we could do. Help us always remember that Your resources are unlimited. Amen.

Monday Prayer: Triumph

March 16, 2014 9:56 PM by Diane

Oh, clap your hands, all you peoples! Shout to God with the voice of triumph! For the Lord Most High is awesome; He is a great King over all the earth. Psalm 47:1-2.

Dear God, You are triumphant and You are the great King, almighty God over all the earth. We lift up our praise and adoration to You for all You have done, are doing, and will do for and through us. You are the mighty King above all Kings, our Savior and closest Friend. How we love You. Without You we are nothing and have nothing. Help us to keep Your word in our hearts and minds. Lead us daily by Your Holy Spirit. Amen.
