Friday Prayer: For Families

Dezember 24, 2015 11:37 by Dan

All you who fear God, how blessed you are! How happily you walk on his smooth straight road! You worked hard and deserve all you've got coming. Enjoy the blessing! Revel in the goodness!Your wife will bear children as a vine bears grapes, your household lush as a vineyard, The children around your table as fresh and promising as young olive shoots. Stand in awe of God's Yes. Oh, how he blesses the one who fears God Enjoy the good life in Jerusalem every day of your life. And enjoy your grandchildren. Peace to Israel!

Psalm 128

Lord, we are thankful of how you have provided help in our lives for us and our families. You are so good to us. Today we pray for families throughout the Willamette Valley. We pray for strength and love and understanding in the hard times. We pray for your ability to work through Christian families to benefit the neighborhoods and folks that we live around. Give us a desire to share the gospel through our families to others in this world. Thank you for what you have provided.

Friday Prayer: Come Dwell with Us

Dezember 17, 2015 10:38 by Dan

I call to you, Lord, come quickly to me;
    hear me when I call to you.
May my prayer be set before you like incense;
    may the lifting up of my hands be like the evening sacrifice. Psalm 141:1-2

Today we pray that our lives would be dedicated to you Lord. Steer us from evil, keep us focused on you. Let us worship each day with great gladness in our hearts as we sing your praise. Let us learn to love you more, appreciate what you've given and appreciate what you've done. Give us a desire to pray like never before, crying out you for you to come as David did. Come to our rescue, our help and simply to dwell with us dear Lord.

Friday Prayer: Looking Ahead

Dezember 10, 2015 10:09 by Dan

Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.  Phil.3:12-14

Thank you Lord for teaching us to look ahead. To look to our future in You. Help us, every time that we are discouraged and disillusioned to look forward and not get caught in the present circumstance. Even if our circumstance is very severe, we can rely on the promise of heaven in our belief of You. Help us to keep that future vision stayed and sure. Help the church in Albany and the surrounding area to look upon these inspired words and press on towards the prize.

Friday Prayer: The Lord is Waiting

Dezember 3, 2015 9:50 by Dan

But do not forget this one thing, dear friends: With the Lord a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day.The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:8-9

You Lord are so patient and good to us. You love us with an unending love. Your kindness is for the nations. And so You wait for those who have not heard the word of truth to hear the word of truth. You who have strayed, come near to the Lord again . He is waiting. You who are without hope - come near to the Lord, He is hope. He is waiting. He loves us all.
