Friday Prayer: Work of Your Hand

September 29, 2016 10:05 PM by Dan

But now, O LordYou are our Father,
We are the clay, and You our potter;
And all of us are the work of Your hand.
Do not be angry beyond measure, O Lord,
Nor remember iniquity forever;
Behold, look now, all of us are Your people.

                                                         Isaiah 64:8-9 (NASB)

We ask today that You would work in the Church in the Mid-Willamette Valley. Please shape and mold the ministries in such a way that they can see You. Let ministers of the Word in this valley be drawn into a closer relationship with You. Let them hear Your voice through the Word. Let them see Your love move throughout this valley through the miraculous circumstances You bring. Help us as believers to work together and pray together. Shape us and mold us dear Lord.

Friday Prayer: Redeemed By Christ

September 22, 2016 8:48 PM by Dan

For He rescued us from the domain of darkness, and transferred us to the kingdom of His beloved Son, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.   Colossians 1:13-14

We praise You today dear Lord Jesus for our rescue. You have brought us out of the darkness of despair of no hope in ourselves, to endless hope within You.  We invite You to make Your presence within us more discernible and more understandable. Give the church in the Willamette Valley inspiration and power through Your Mighty Peace and Presence. Thank you Lord.

Friday Prayer: Your Inheritance

September 15, 2016 10:33 PM by Dan

Praise the Lord.

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good;
    his love endures forever.

Who can proclaim the mighty acts of the Lord
    or fully declare his praise?
Blessed are those who act justly,
    who always do what is right.

Remember me, Lord, when you show favor to your people,
    come to my aid when you save them,
that I may enjoy the prosperity of your chosen ones,
    that I may share in the joy of your nation
    and join your inheritance in giving praise.   Psalm 106:1-5

Thank you Lord that Your love is forever! Not just for our short time on the earth. But even in this short time here, You show us favor and kindness. Help us to always to look to You, everyday, all day long. Let us not fall into failures of our past or distractions of this world or distractions from the love that You provide.

Friday Prayer: The Light Will Shine on Them

September 8, 2016 10:49 PM by Dan

The people who walk in darkness
Will see a great light;
Those who live in a dark land,
The light will shine on them.
You shall multiply the nation,
You shall increase their gladness;
They will be glad in Your presence
As with the gladness of harvest,
As men rejoice when they divide the spoil.

                                                        Isaiah 9:2-3

Lord, our country appears to be growing darker and darker. Today we pray that You will reveal Your truth to people in our valley as never before. Let them see Your light. Your truth. We pray that many will come to faith this week and in the weeks to come. Help us share the truth of the Son, clearly, accurately and regularly. Let this truth touch hearts and minds and bring people to repentance and salvation. Give us opportunity this week to share Your truth with many.

Friday Prayer: The Spirit Brings Life

September 1, 2016 10:24 PM by Dan

Such confidence we have through Christ toward God. Not that we are adequate in ourselves to consider anything as coming from ourselves, but our adequacy is from God, who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

But if the ministry of death, in letters engraved on stones, came with glory, so that the sons of Israel could not look intently at the face of Moses because of the glory of his face, fading as it was, how will the ministry of the Spirit fail to be even more with glory?

                                                         2 Corinthians 4-8 (NASB)

Lord we need Your Spirit more than the words of law, more than the rules that develop outward rightness... we need You directly to develop an inward rightness within us. We pray that You will reveal Your Spirit to more and more people in the Willamette Valley. Those who have lived law filled, correct and proper lives and those who have lived despairingly evil lives. Wake up all those who are not in relationship with Your Holy Spirit to receive and be made whole. Bring peace to our valley through this. Bring Your sincerity and Your righteousness to our hearts.
