Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: Joined together in Christ

December 19, 2012 7:48 AM by Peter

Eph. 2 lays out God's plan for joining us together in one Body with Christ Jesus as our Head. As we are united and fitly joined together, we can accomplish what the Lord destined us for.

Jew and Gentile Reconciled Through Christ

11 Therefore, remember that formerly you who are Gentiles by birth and called “uncircumcised” by those who call themselves “the circumcision” (which is done in the body by human hands)— 12 remember that at that time you were separate from Christ, excluded from citizenship in Israel and foreigners to the covenants of the promise, without hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near by the blood of Christ.

14 For he himself is our peace, who has made the two groups one and has destroyed the barrier, the dividing wall of hostility, 15 by setting aside in his flesh the law with its commands and regulations. His purpose was to create in himself one new humanity out of the two, thus making peace, 16 and in one body to reconcile both of them to God through the cross, by which he put to death their hostility. 17 He came and preached peace to you who were far away and peace to those who were near. 18 For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.

19 Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers, but fellow citizens with God’s people and also members of his household, 20 built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone. 21 In him the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord. 22 And in him you too are being built together to become a dwelling in which God lives by his Spirit. (NIV)

Father, we are looking to You for peace personally, in our families, in Your Church, and in our communities. Thank You for making us one Body, for reconciling us to You, giving us access to You by Your Spirit, and building us up into a holy temple for You to indwell. Please help us prioritize the joining together of your Body. Be with those efforts You have initiated to make us one in Christ for Your glory and honor.

Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: De-stressing

November 28, 2012 7:55 AM by Peter

Martha and Mary

Luke 10:38 Now as they were traveling along, He entered a village; and a woman named Martha welcomed Him into her home. 39 She had a sister called Mary, who was seated at the Lord’s feet, listening to His word. 40 But Martha was distracted with all her preparations; and she came up to Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to do all the serving alone? Then tell her to help me.”41 But the Lord answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered about so many things; 42 but only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part, which shall not be taken away from her.”

Father, thank You for Your great love for us, that You draw us into relationship with You, that You help us to desire to sit at Your feet more than scurry about working for you. Thank You for the Houses of Prayer that you are raising up all over the world to prepare the Bride for Your return. Help us to sit at Your feet every day, waiting on what You would say to us and growing deeper in our walk with You.

Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: 40 Days of Prayer - Families

October 17, 2012 7:56 AM by Peter

1 Corinthians 13

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.

Father, please forgive us where we have fallen short of the love that You intend for us to walk in with our spouse and family. As we pray for our nation in these 40 days leading up to the election, grant that we would have Your love welling up in our families for healing, reconciliation, nurturing, and becoming more Christ-centered. Lord, help us to develop strong habits of prayer that will continue after the election. Please help us continue and even increase in our prayers after the election, that families in our nation would be strengthened and flourish.

Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: Serving the Lord

September 26, 2012 7:57 AM by Peter

Deuteronomy 30:19

This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live.
Joshua 24:15
But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your ancestors served beyond the Euphrates, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”

Father, we are so thankful for calling us to be in Your family. Thank You for adding our natural family members who don't yet know You to Your family until our whole household will be included. We pray for our valley, our state, and our nation to turn to You and serve the One True Living God. We repent for the ways we have gone astray and worshiped the gods of this world. Grant a great turning to You in our land, a steadfast devotion to You from Your Church, and a mighty increase of prayer and worship. Bless the "40 Days for Life" beginning today in hundreds of cities, including the 6 in Oregon. Bless the prayer gatherings at schools across our nation this morning at the "See You At The Pole" events, encourage Your saints to cover the schools in prayer throughout the year, and bless the students with Your good gifts.

Wednesday 6:30 AM Prayer Focus: Break Forth

August 29, 2012 8:00 AM by Peter

Galatians 4:26-28 Amplified Bible (AMP)

26 But the Jerusalem above (the Messianic kingdom of Christ) is free, and she is our mother.

27 For it is written in the Scriptures, Rejoice, O barren woman, who has not given birth to children; break forth into a joyful shout, you who are not feeling birth pangs, for the desolate woman has many more children than she who has a husband.

28 But we, brethren, are children [not by physical descent, as was Ishmael, but] like Isaac, born in virtue of promise.

Father, we yearn for Your salvation to come to tens of thousands of people here in our communities. We call out to You to pour out Your grace for people to be born again, to grow in Christ, and abide in You. We lift up our voices in praise to You for being so loving, so involved in our lives, and so abundantly able to bring us into Your forever family. Please draw Your saints together for the week of 24/7 Prayer Sept. 4-10 in Albany.

In early 2008, Rev. Jim Thornton saw a vision of a glory funnel coming down from the sky when he was praying at Bethel Chapel in Redding, California. He found out it was going straight up I-5 North.  Then, he heard the word, Albany, Oregon. He knew that the power of God was going to hit that area then continue up into Oregon. A few months later, Rev. Jim was sharing this with Pastor Daniel who exclaimed he had heard from the Lord two months prior saying that God was going to start a mighty revival fire in Oregon that would then leap to other states.

Bring a friend or two and join us as we experience God's power and His Presence and stand together for what He wants to release in Oregon.
